His story
Tim Verbeek dreamed up the UET as a place where big cities and green nature live side by side. He drew the first map with four cities: The Greenfield, Nuwara Eliya, Al-Mashad Town and Zayed Beach.
As President, he wants every visitor to feel welcome. Most travellers enter with no visa, and the UET works with partners such as Qatar Airways and Eurostar to bring people in until Greenfield International Airport opens.
He also started UET One, the app where residents order food, book taxis, find jobs and homes, and see their rank.
